About Me

How I Got Started

I am a self-taught photographer following in the footsteps of my father, who, ever since I was young, fostered in me a love and appreciation for the arts and nurtured my artistic aspirations.

My father was a talented painter—his desk and work area were always covered with tubes of paint, his palette, canvases and brushes.  As a child, I was fascinated with what went on at that desk; the scenes he created would draw me in, and I would see a story in them. He brought much beauty to our lives with his art. As time went on, my father picked up photography as a new way to express his creative side—and as a result, I was exposed to yet another way to show the beauty of God’s creation.

I have enjoyed and pursued many creative outlets. Over the years my husband and I have done photography together as a team, capturing family weddings and enjoying catching that awesome shot of places we have traveled.  We have so many special memories. Now that I am the one behind the camera, I am taking it over and having so much fun!

Fun Facts About Me

Dayton is my hometown and is where my husband (my best friend and the love of my life for 32 years) and I work and serve. We have been blessed with two sons, two beautiful daughters-in-law, and 4 absolutely adorable grandchildren. We are blessed with a great church and great friends.

God has blessed us with many opportunities to travel. I love traveling within the US and I am always glad for an opportunity to go to Europe.  Europe is one of my favorite places to go (actually the beach is my favorite place to go, but Europe is a close second).

I have always been a dog person but later in life discovered how fun cats are (don’t hold that against me), and now have a cat that is like a dog (seriously, he is).

I love cozy coffee shop visits with a friend.  And I love providing hospitality, whether it’s a dinner party for a few friends or feeding an entire army! I love connecting people.

I Am Mission-Minded

I am a mentor to young women in my church, who I affectionately call my “little sisters”. I have a heart for helping parents guide these young ladies on their journey to become godly women who pursue God in every aspect of their lives.  This is a ministry near and dear to my heart.

I also love to volunteer my photography services as I can when and where there is a need. I look forward to building new relationships and friendships. Hope to meet you soon!
